You’ll regret taking it under your belt, but you’ll be fully satisfied as soon as you’re at the top!
It happens, more frequently than you think. When you read the summaries of these trails, you can say, “2 hours and 4 km, not too demanding, easy walk.”
Let’s get in order.
I recommend parking in Riva usually. From there begins a pleasant walk along the lake where you can warm your legs for the first climb. On the way, you pass through a tunnel used by the old highway. Once we get out, we’re faced with the fantastic horrid. During the summer, this place becomes a veritable amphitheatre of people, including makeshift divers and various boats who come to admire it.
The walk continues and we finally reach the beginning of the trail. As I wrote, the first section has a good slope rich in vegetation. The trail is well marked by signs, but the trail is not so much beaten. You can easily intersperse the climb with a few stops, and using the excuse of the view from various heights, we catch our breath.

The descent, which is also steep and allows us to enjoy the view on the other side of the horrid and takes us closer to the car park.
Summing up a nice leg of about 2 hours between a few heavy breaths and a “look how nice from here.”
